Use Borwicks baking powder to give your cakes a great rise. Baking powder is a store cupboard staple for bakers. When mixed with liquid, the powder activates, producing carbon dioxide which in turn expands your batter, causing it to rise. 

Use this baking powder alongside plain flour when making pancakes, doughnuts, sponge cakes and scones. When you use baking powder, it’s important to get the mixture in the oven quickly, as the powder activates as soon as it touches the liquid!
